Longspee Academy

Longspee Academy, located in the town of Poole, Dorset, is a mixed-gender academy special converter catering to students with special educational needs. It serves a pupil age range from 5 to 16 years and currently enrolls approximately 111 students, close to its full capacity of 114. Situated in an urban setting, the school does not operate with a religious character and has a high percentage of students eligible for free school meals, at 60.4%. It does not have a nursery or sixth form provision. The school is led by Associate Principal Gavin O'Connell and focuses on providing a tailored and supportive educational experience for its students, many of whom face additional challenges in their learning journey.
