Milefield Primary School

Milefield Primary School is a mixed-gender academy converter situated in the village of Grimethorpe, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The school caters to children aged 3 to 11, providing education from nursery through to the end of primary school. With a total pupil enrolment of approximately 305, the school is nearing its full capacity of 315 students. Milefield is set in a suburban environment and serves the local community, which is characterized by a strong sense of belonging and support. As part of the Hoyland Common Academy Trust (HCAT), Milefield joined this group in July 2021, benefiting from shared resources and expertise to enhance educational outcomes for its students.
