Bradford Alternative Provision Academy

Bradford Alternative Provision Academy (BAPA) is a mixed-gender academy alternative provision converter located on Baker Street in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Catering to secondary-aged students from 11 to 16, BAPA serves a small community with a total enrolment of 57 pupils, although it has the capacity for 108. The academy operates from three main sites: Aireview in Saltaire, Jesse Street at Fairweather Green, and Cityview in Bowling, with additional pre-sites at The Bungalow and The Loft. As an institution focusing on tailored educational experiences, it specifically supports students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools. BAPA plays a crucial role in supporting socio-economically disadvantaged families, with 54.4% of students eligible for free school meals. The academy's mission includes short-term turnaround placements, medium-term assessment placements, and long-term placements, aiming to reintegrate students into mainstream education or prepare them for further training or employment.
